The Problem
Owl Labs only had one designer who has limited time working in Ceros. It was difficult to prove the value of the software since there was a lack of content creation.
The Goal
Provide support by designing a wishlist of items that's been on hold due to time constraints. Our team would prioritize designing product demos for their new portfolio of products to prove business value.
My role
Lead Designer
Project Duration
August to October 2022
Responsibilities
Wireframing, Prototyping, Usability Testing
Room Solutions Enablement
Highlighting various room solutions, I designed this experience that would enable salespeople on Owl Labs to sell hardware. This serves as the basis for sellers to educate their audience while having access to interactive and in-depth material. As I worked on this experience, I kept three things in mind…
1. Keep modularity in mind
Modules are inspired by the assets from pervious experiences and are designed to be reused in new experiences.
2. Build as a template
Built as a template, salespeople can adjust and tailor the content as needed. It would change based on who they chat with.
3. Design as a training tool
The experience is designed to be easily understood in order to boost their Studio capabilities and implement UX/UI best practices.
Following the sketches, I identified 3 types of pages that the user would interact with as they go through the experience: the title page, the menu, and solution page. After a few iterations, the design was refined to reproduce other solution pages with ease.
Clear call to actions are placed throughout the interface to guide the user through the presentation. It allows for a linear flow with the ability to deviate and learn more about the other solutions. Interacting with each room provides the user more context about the hardware Owl Labs offers.
What We Accomplished
11
experiences created in 3 months
$50-75K
potential ROI based on an average webpage costing $10-15K to produce with web agencies
To further support Owl Labs, we also designed…
Microcontent
To increase engagement for blog experiences for the Interview campaign, I designed this set of interactive modules for their team to use. While these modules could be used for blog pages, they are set up for the Owl Labs team to easily adjust and duplicate for any interactive experience.
Social Templates
Elaborating on the assets created for their interview campaign, I designed this set of animated social assets that can be used to highlight their story. Inspired by the header styling from microcontent, this template set opens up the possibilities for how the brand is animated for digital experiences.
“I’m the solo designer on our team. So it was so nice to be able to have like just like fun creative sessions with other creatives. Like every other week. It’s definitely something that I look forward to the past couple of months.”
